Railway noise is increasingly becoming an important factor to restrict the further development of the railway and endanger human health. As everyone knows, a railway bridge is often required to try to pass around or pass through some barriers such as residential areas and municipal roads It is well, known in the construction of a railway, construction of a railway bridge in the construction of a railway. The railway bridge noise will have a significant interference on residential areas because it is common that the railway bridge is near to residential areas. Taking the railway bridge’s unique structure into account, its noise radiation intensity, noise reduction with distance and the reduction effect of acoustic barriers are different from the railway embankment’s. Therefore, it has being become a concerning aspect of environmental protection workers how to protect residents on both sides of the railway bridge from the impact of noise effectively. It is particularly important to carry out research about the noise radiation characteristics of the railway bridge in residential areas along the railway.Based on the analysis of railway noise generation mechanism, the summary of characteristics and impacts of the noise radiated by the railway and railway bridge, this paper will carry out the research from two following aspects:1Setting a certain working condition, the article researches not only the railway bridge noise impact on residential buildings which are located30meters,45meters,60meters away from the centerline of the railway with and without the acoustic barrier, but also the characteristic and law of effects "of noise radiation produced by the railway bridge through the Cadna/A software simulation which is set to predict residential buildings affected by the noise of the railway bridge.2Combined with the expansion transformation project of the railway line from Chongqing to Guiyang, the Hua Guo Yuan Wu Li Chong residential area called one environmental protection objective which is located in the left side of the railway line’s HD1K421+740~HD1K423+000is typical and representative. It is necessary to put forward different noise reduction programs, whose noise reduction effect is predicted by the use of Cadna/A software simulation. Then, a noise reduction program is recommended when contrasting different noise reduction programs combined with investment estimate comparison and experts’ advice, etc. The final result of this paper shows that under certain operating conditions, the noise of the railway bridge has a characteristic that the noise decay is increasing obvious with the decline of floors under the railway level, however, within the range of75meters horizontal distance from the centerline of the railway, the noise in height of12to18meters above the railway level will be a significant jump, increasing1.1~2.3dB (A), after the jump, begin to decay along with the ascending floors. It is significantly effective to take acoustic barriers to reduce the railway bridge noise’s impact on low-rise residential buildings, so it is not a good idea to plan high-rise buildings in place which is close to the railway bridge.
