Steel-concrete composite structure, with significant socioeconomic benefits, has been widely applied in engineering. Shrinkage and creep, which are the important features of concrete would have an effect on the durability, mechanical property and operational performance of steel-concrete composite structure. Therefore, it is quite necessary to study the shrinkage and creep effect of steel-concrete composite structure. In the thesis, based on the finite element analysis of a steel-concrete composite continuous beam bridge, a study on the shrinkage and creep effect of the steel-concrete composite continuous beam bridge has been carried out.Firstly, the latest research on shrinkage and creep of the concrete and steel-concrete composite beam was reviewed. And the fundamental theory and the calculation method of shrinkage and creep of concrete were introduced. The finite element software was adopted to calculate and analyze the stress and the deflection of the steel-concrete composite continuous beam bridge in order to investigate the influence of shrinkage and creep on the long-term performance of the bridge. Calculations indicate that shrinkage and creep effects of the steel-concrete composite continuous beam bridge were obvious and specific, should be taken into account in the progresses of designing and construction.Secondly, with different prediction model of concrete shrinkage and creep, the calculations of the steel-concrete composite continuous beam bridge showed different development law of shrinkage and creep effects, which could provide reference for the selection of prediction model in the analysis of shrinkage and creep of steel-concrete composite continuous beam bridge. Finally, parametric analysis in designing and construction such as the storage time of concrete slab, the tension control stress of prestressed reinforcing steel and the stiffness of shear connector were done and the influence of different parameters on shrinkage and creep effects was summarized, which could provide reference for similar engineering.
