With the continuous development of science and technology, the temperature detection is more and more widely applied in industry, agriculture, warehousing, environmental monitoring and etc. In industrial production, temperature is one of the important basic data. When the temperature is too high or too low, it is likely to cause serious problems such as unqualified products and low efficiency. Moreover, it may induce serious production safety accidents in special cases. Therefore, a real-time and accurate temperature control system is demanded in the industrial production. As a result, a set of temperature data acquisition system that accords with the actual situation of industrial field is required.In some industrial fields such as the cement rotary kiln in cement plant, the temperatures of the cement rotary kiln often reach hundreds of degrees, and the kiln body still turning. In this case, it is not suitable to utilize the traditional contact-typed temperature measurement method. To aim this situation, a feasible solution of temperature measurement employed by infrared sensor technology is designed in this paper, the feasibility of solution.System is mainly composed of infrared sensor, AD conversion chip, single chip microcomputer control chip, network transmission and computer chips. Brushless DC motor to drive the lens to rotate in system front-end.The infrared ray is reflected to the infrared sensors through the lens. This means that the scanning position in the change. Infrared sensor scanning and output the data.After amplifying, filtering and AD transforming, output signal from sensors is stored in the single-chip microcomputer. And then data is transmitted to the computer through the network chip and displayed after dealing with the computer. This paper firstly introduces the principle and development situation of infrared measuring temperature and then discusses the design of the system’s hardware circuit and software design process in detail. Through the experiment testing and compared with similar products, there are advantages such as simple hardware connection, low power consumption, small volume, long running time and stable operation and etc in the whole system. System error is not more than1℃, the data transmission speed can reach more than50KBPS, and temperature measuring scope can reach600℃to the maximum. By combining the infrared temperature measurement technology, single-chip microcomputer control technology and Ethernet data transmission technology, this system successful achieve real-time monitoring the surface temperature of the kiln body.
