As the society is developing soon, the car is more and more widely needed.However, as one ofthe car’s power source, because of its limited resources,electric cars have become a more and morepopular topic of replacing the gas power. With the limitations of battery manufacturing level,battery must be in the form of multi-stage series-parallel to provide sufficient power.Theinconsistence between the cells would have a great impact on the performance and life of thebattery pack. Therefore, it’s necessary to provide a reasonable method of classifying the battery toimprove the consistency of the cells.First, this paper describes the development of electric vehicles and the application of the powerbattery. Due to the limitations of single battery manufacturing level, the actual production andapplications are in the form of a battery pack.Through the study of cell consistency,introduce thecauses and the danger of the inconsistency.It can cause battery over charging and over discharging,along with a series of chain reactions,thus affecting the performance and the life of the batterypack.Then introduce the necessity of classifying the battery and several commonly used method ofclassifying batteries.In this paper, we choose the dynamic characteristic of classifying and fuzzyc-clustering algorithm.Finally, we establish a hardware system,which uses stm32to sample and S3C6410as the corecontrol.The stm32include the work, such as sampling,storing data and communicating control.Thes3c6410is responsible for displaying,mainly for the real-time displaying of the battery charging anddischarging curve.We realize the algorithm of classifying in S3C6410.The two MCU communicatebetween the serial port.Based on the designed system,we verify the feasibility of the method by carrying out the loopexperiments of the classified batteries.One group is picked up by using this design of system,another group is classified in accordance with the group’s power capacity.Two groups do thecycling experiments in the same condition.By analysis of the finished battery power capacity andself-discharging rate, we can verify the feasibility of the proposed scheme.
