In the city gas industry, gas transmission and distribution network is theinfrastructure. However, the layout of scene monitoring equipments is often scattered,so it is difficult to centralized monitoring and managing them. This leads to frequentoccurrences of grave accidents and brings the damage to the national and people’sproperty.CDMA20001X is the first stage of CDMA system development and it can support308Kb/s data transmission. What’s means, it can provide strong support for theconstruction of monitoring system of gas network because it easily realize high speedwireless data transmission adopting CDMA20001X technology. According to thedevelopmental trend in the future, this paper presents a gas transmission and distributionnetwork monitoring system based on CDMA network.Firstly, this paper does research on CDMA wireless network technology. Itintroduces the concept, the characteristic of CDMA network and evolution of CDMAtechnology. Then it describes the overall framework of monitoring system. Aftermaking clear of the specific function of the system, it selects the design scheme ofhardware platform and designs every subsystem respectively.Secondly, this paper studies the software design of the monitoring system. Afterfiguring out the performance of monitoring system, it puts forward the overall softwareframework. According to the low power demand of monitoring system, this paperdesigns each module workflow and prolong terminal working time powered by battery.According to the requirement of intelligent monitoring system, this paper design clearcommunication interface which can help the monitor not only upload monitoring databut also can receive control instructions and do corresponding operations. Accordingto the deep analysis on the upgrading function, this paper presents a wireless upgradingscheme and explains the reason and principle of virtual reset, constant position andinterrupt direct skip these key techniques. In particular, this paper takes a series of riskavoiding measures aimed at abnormal event. At the same time, this paper introduces therest module simply.Finally, this paper tests the monitoring system and analyse the experimental results.Then this paper summarizes its work and proposes research prospects to the weaknessof this research after geting the main part results of the system after a lot of tests. This paper presents a gas transmission and distribution pipeline networkmonitoring system based on CDMA network adopting the embedded developmentthought. The operator can upgrade and maintenance the terminal through wireless waysbecause of its special equipment management and remote upgrade program scheme. Sogas network can be in real-time monitoring for the system ensures continuity in timeand space. The application of this system is able to eliminate security risks timely,which can avoid unnecessary losses, brings very high economic and social benefits.
