Energy is the important material base in the process of social development and the lifeblood of the national economy. In China, thermal power generation is the main source of power. Therefore, to enhance the energy efficiency of coal-fired generating units and achieve energy saving has become a great challenge facing China’s electric power industry. In this paper, taking the the 《Ningxia DSM pilot implementation in industrial areas》issued by Ministry of Industry as the research background, attention is focused on the comprehensive energy efficiency of coal-fired generators unit.The main research work of this paper as follows:firstly, based on consumption analysis theory, we establish the mathematical model of unit consumption of coal-fired generating units. Through a series of analyses and calculations of the unit consumption of each device attached link, we can visualiy and intuitively describe the spatial distribution of the energy consumption of the unit. Secondly, for a comprehensive evaluation of the energy efficiency of coal-fired generating units purposes, analyzing its energy efficiency comprehensively from the economic efficiency, the technical efficiency, the management efficiency and the environmental efficiency four aspects, and establishing the corresponding comprehensive evaluation index system. Then, we create a multi-level evaluation model. Grey correlation degree and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method are used to comprehensive evaluation of energy efficiency. Finally, we take a600MW subcritical unit as a case study and evaluate its energy efficiency status comprehensively. According to the energy efficiency of the evaluation results, a energy efficiency diagnosis is maked. Based on the energy efficiency diagnostic results, we can find the weaknesses of the generating units and come up with some reasonable adjustments.The purpose of this study is to help administrative staff of plant master real-time dynamic information of the unit efficiency, and then using it to guide relevant personnel to make reasonable adjustment measures for operating parameters of the unit. To optimize the performance of unit and fully tap the energy-saving potential of coal-fired generating units, thereby improving the energy efficiency level of power generation enterprise and bringing considerable economic benefits.
