The Expression And Application Of Spirit Of Place In The Wetland Architecture Design

It is a rising issue today that the modern landscape design tendency of identity rises with the increase number of architectures, in the view of designers, the main problem there is lack of relative research on native cultures and the spirit of place while planning building projects. People are paying more attention on spiritual demand and communication on modern ages, also life quality and spiritual needs. In this case, the spirit of place could be the key indicator in designing parks, it will only apply its value throw the following factor, space experience, mental maps, geographic environment, cultural environment, etc. The wetland is a special landscape with huge develop potentials, it is an inevitable trend to raise the issue on architectural planning and ecological restoration function endowment of wetland, and lead to the result of protect the natural ecological resources for sustainable development, it is necessary to put " spirit of place " into the planning and designing of urban wetland park so that represent the token of city characteristic and soul of city. This article constructs a research under the background of the modern landscape design tendency of identity due to rapid economic growth, with the aid of the wetland, the spirit of place, the wetland architectural, and related theories to explore a way to create " the spirit of place " of wetland park, combine with analyze of typical global cases. This thesis is aim to find the relationship between the spirit of place and wetland architecture design, in order to suggest a possible way to improve the designing of wetland architecture.
