Study Of Tyre Noise Genereting Mechanism And Test Method

Tyre noise is one of the primary automobile noises. The degree of tyre noise is the one of the main indicators to judge the performance of the tyre. And also, it relates directly to the fact that whether passengers in the car is comfortable. China is the main exporter of tyre,80%of which are for export. However, the tyre for export must be up to the standards of tyre noise the importers make. If the tyre can not reach the required standards, they will be denied for export. Therefore, it has become the hot topic to study the production mechanism and testing methods of tyre noise. Further more, developing the tyre with low noise has become an important task in the international automobile and tyre manufacturing industry.This task mainly talks about the production mechanism and testing methods of tyre noise. Meanwhile, it will also focus on what factors affects the production of tyre noise and how much these factors affects tyre noise. By studying different testing methods of tyre noise, the author will analyze the advantages and disadvantages of these methods. What’s more, the author will carry out a systemic environment imitation for the testing drum method in the lab and a design for the testing facilities in order that the testing result in the experiment can be closed to the real tyre noise. The concrete content is as follows:(1)The study on the production mechanism of tyre noiseIt mainly focuses on the production mechanism of road/tyre noise and noise made by tyre with different decorative patterns in order to conclude its main production mechanisms. The main mechanisms include air pumping mechanism, air kinetic effect and tyre vibration noise.(2)The study on factors affecting tyre noiseIt will mainly study on two main factors affecting tyre noise:the design factor and the using factor. The design factor includes the structure of tyre, the pattern of tyre, the material of tyre and other factors. The using factor mainly includes the loading capacity of tyre, the running speed, the abrasion of tyre, the road conditions and the influence by environment.(3)The study on the testing method of tyre noiseIt mainly talks about several testing methods of tyre noise and concludes advantages and disadvantages of these testing methods. Besides, it will make a major study on the drum method in lad. It will help control the facility noise and environment noise by developing the environment imitation for the drum method and designing the testing facility. In this way, the testing data will be approximate to the real tyre noise.
