According to the technical indicators requirements of the manufacturer, a functional, high precision, good reliability, cost-effective electro-hydraulic servo fatigue testing machine was designed. The device was able to truly simulate mechanical properties testing of a variety of metal tensile, compression, fracture, and low-week high cycle fatigue.Firstly, according to the subject of the design tasks and requirements, the host program was finished and hydraulic schematic was draw, actuator and motor pump, hydraulic servo valve, sensor and other was computed and selected. Next, the mathematical model of machine was established with transfer function, which was simulated and analyzed using MATLAB/Simulink, and the system frequency response characteristics was obtained. Then in the initial parameter conditions remained unchanged, the response and stability was studied with changing the parameters of transfer function, the optimal output response curve was obtained. In order to meet the fast, steady, accurate three dynamic characteristics of control system, fuzzy adaptive PID controller was designed and PID parameters were achieved on-line self-tuning, so that the output response curve overshoot and steady-state error was reduced. The control system dynamic performance basically met the design requirements. Also, according to the working mechanism of electro-hydraulic servo fatigue testing machine control system, data acquisition card and data acquisition flowcharts were selected. And the process of control software was made a brief introduction.
