Transformer substation automatic control system is based on the technology of computer hardware, data communication and module software. It is a microcomputer control system which is combined control, measuring, protection and remote function with feature of high reliability, good real-time and easy to be maintenance. This will be a direction of secondary control system of Chinese electrical system.Based on the planning and the actual situation of Tianjin Iron and Steel company35KV substation integrated automation system of blast furnace, the overall structure design of distributed layered structure, the system adopts spacing layer by layer, communication, monitoring layer. According to the requirements of each layer of hardware equipment selection. System of communication between layers and realize communication, using RS485bus communications management machine realization of communication protocols, communication and control of industrial ether net realize communication.For substation automation system, background monitoring system occupies an important role in the entire system. This paper presents the functional requirements which a system background monitoring software should have. A stratified, modular structure design process is presented, through the functional analysis of Tianjin Iron and Steel company35KV substation monitoring software, background monitoring system is mainly divided into six major functional modules for design, as well as modules for specific descriptions.At present, Tianjin Iron and Steel company35KV substation integrated automation system of blast furnace operation is good, comply with the design requirements and simplify the operation and management of the safe operation of the substation of substation operation, and the total staff to grasp equipment running status has played an important role in future, but also for the unattended created favorable conditions.
