Beijing Metro Line1is always on the state of overload. Especially in the morning and evening peak hours on weekdays, overloading is particularly serious. While,urban rail transit still doesn’t have a good flow real-time detection mechanism,which brought a lot of inconvenience for passenger flow forecast,operation scheduling and passenger orientation.In addition,such a huge passenger flow will have a negative impact on the various components of the vehicle.Therefore,it’s very important for the safe operation of trains to find a accurate and easy capacity detection method,and study the effect of the mutative passenger volume especially overload on the strength and vibration characteristics of the vehicle.The method in this study is practiced in Beijing Metro Line1,and can be applied to the other lines.In this paper,the inner pressure of air spring was continuous measured to get the real-time passenger volume of No.1subway trains,and the pressure fluctuation of air spring was also analyzed.Tested the dynamic stress and acceleration of the vehicle,and based on the experimental data,studied the effect of the mutative passenger volume on the equivalent stress and vibration characteristics of the main part of the vehicle system. Then from the perspective of the finite element simulation,studied the influence of overloading on the bogie frame and car body’s strength.The main conclusions are as follows:In the morning and evening peak hours,Beijing Metro Line l’s maximum number of passengers is up to387,and the train is in a serious overload state which is with a fully loaded rate of160%.The dynamic load’s fluctuation of air spring’s inner pressure is mainly affected by the static load, but also has a certain relationship with the line status. When the passenger capacity is small,the fluctuation of air spring’s inner pressure tends to be severe,and the road conditions between Fuxingmen and Sihui East is better than which between Pingguoyuan to Fuxingmen.When the train is running under overload condition,some points’s equivalent stress is too large,which are in gear box bracket and motor suspension area.The areas on the bogie which are response strongly to the variable capacity are traction seat,gear box bracket,motor suspension and motor suspender cross-section parts.In terms of vibration of vehicle system,the law of three direction’s acceleration of gear box is different from other major components of the vehicle system.A variety of random interference coming from the rail surface,reduce progressively through the axle box suspension and central suspension system,until they are transmitted to the carbody,the alptitude is very small. The vehicle system’s vibration is mainly affected by the track interference and other factors,and is not significantly relatedto the passenger capacity.From the perspective of the finite element simulation, when passenger volume increases to severe overcrowding,frame’s static strength still meets the requirements,but there has been a key point whose fatigue strength does not meet the requirements.In terms of carbody,it’s static strength in the severe overcrowding can still meet the requirements,and the safety margin is large.
