Traffic congestion has become the main problem in metropolitan cities nowadays due to the growth of economy and the increase of population.The construction of urban rail transit is the most effective way to solve this problem.Subway station is the anchoring and center point of urban rail transit network.The non-paid area of subway station is the starting point for passengers to enter the public transit area,which directly affects the traffic capacity and service level of the station as a whole.The core method to improve the level of service(LoS)of urban rail transit facilities is to enhance the perception of pedestrians themselves by changing certain factors.These objective factors mainly include comfort,convenience,safety and reliability of urban rail transit system.In this thesis,calculation methods of service level and traffic capacity have been discussed,considering the layout optimization measurements.Based on the Queuing theory and research methods of pedestrian service level in various countries,the Wudaokou subway station's pedestrian traffic is investigated,and a six-service level classification method for non-paid areas of metro stations through statistical analysis of the survey results is established.These levels describe the quality of service perception by pedestrians.Considering the actual passenger flow conditions,the corresponding capacity calculation method of queuing facilities and security inspection facilities are obtained.Taking Universal Studio subway station as a case study,by forecasting future pedestrian traffic data in non-payment area,various simulation models of different layouts,and number of pedestrians at various scales of security inspection facilities are analyzed respectively.By comparing the results of different simulations,characteristics of LoS and traffic capacity under different variables are examined.The conclusion is drawn by Anylogic simulation,capacity of each security check is 727 pedestrians per hour and it is suggested that at the level of class C,the scale of security check facilities in non-paid area of Universal Studio subway station should be 40 for 300,000 pedestrians.In addition,used different layout schemes of the security check e.g.,A shape,V shape,W shape.W shape is the best optimal layout and the Considering service level and traffic capacity with respect to pedestrian traffic density,the range of class C is 0.58-0.88 m2/p,class D is 0.28-0.58 m2/p,while class E is 0.18-0.28 m2/p.The analysis shows that if the scale of security facilities decreases,the service level of security facilities would decline to class E or F.
