With the development of high-speed railway, the train noise pollution along the railway is becoming more and more serious. In order to control the noise effectively, it is necessary to identify the noise source, and study on the frequency characteristics of each part.In the first, the general principles of beamforming, DAM AS and the features of the array were studied in this paper; the simulation of the line array was carried out, and the array characteristics were contrasted while the parameters are different. Also the simulation results of the equally spaced cross array and the unequally spaced cross array are contrasted in this paper.Based on the principles of array, an appropriate cross array was designed, and proved to be reasonable by the verification experiment in anechoic chamber. At last, during the Tianjin-Qinhuangdao railway debugging the noise data of different models was collected when the line conditions and speed grades are different. By processing the experimental data, the train noise source can be identified. The conclusions are listed as follows:The sound source is mainly distributed in the area of wheel-rail and pantograph; The noise of pantograph is mainly concentrated in the low-frequency band, but wheel-rail noise are obvious over the entire frequency band; The contribution of wheel-rail noise is the greatest.
