In order to improve damage effect of warhead and to kill the target to the largest extent, research on overloading properties of projectile launching and penetration, explosion forming fragment is investigated and deemed to be very important and valuable. The researching methods include principle method, testing method, computer numerical simulation. However, the three processes contain very complicate physical and chemical changes, it is so difficult to study the three questions as a whole using theory analysis method, and the testing method can acquire the most accurate parameters based on expensive consumption. Nowadays, numerical simulation has been an important tool and means to warhead design. In this paper, according to internal trajectory theory and finite element program ANSYS, the influence of projectile deforming zone and defect zone to the overloading properties in projectile launching and penetration process, and to the fragment result in explosion is investigated to provide principle reference to improve damage power, to optimize the warhead structure design and to choose correct parameter in need.In recent years, overloading testing technology and anti-overloading evaluating technology have been very concerned, especially projectile launching safety under100000-150000g or more. In this paper, press changing lines for projectile with property-changing zone are calculated through internal trajectory programming, three-way principle stress values in three sections of projectile cylinder and two stress values in bottom of projectile are calculated using Blink projectile intensity theory. Furthermore, the intensity of the body and bottom of projectile are checked by referring to the fourth intensity theory. Besides, the projectile overloading values in launching by ANSYS/LS-DYNA3D are acquired to locate the dangerous zone. Comparing to principle calculation results, property-changing zone is investigated about the influence to the projectile launching.During penetrating process, research on mechanical overloading properties has been widely concerned. The intensity of projectile body has been checked to meet the rigidity of the body.18calculation models for different velocities and defect zones regarding on the overloading properties in penetration process are established and calculated to research the stress distributions of projectile body. Through analysis of the results, we could have a better understanding of the mechanical effect of property-changing zones and defect zone to the projectile intensity. The trauma effect of fragments from fracturing of projectile shell after penetration to the target board has been focused to be studied.6calculation models researching the mechanical influence of projectile property-changing zones and defect zones to the fracturing properties are comprehensively studied. Based on the simulation results, the optimum property-changing zone is chose, benefiting a lot to improvement of warhead damaging capabilities.
