Long-range precision strike technology is one of the key development direction of current projectile field, to achieve long-range precision strike of guided projectile, in this paper, design extended range guided projectile with the series connection compound guidance system of middle guidance improving range and terminal guidance improving hit precision. Guided projectile flight based on the gliding programmed trajectory of maximum lift-drag ratio by use of GPS/INS integrated navigation in the middle guidance section, using the homing guidance scheme based on millimeter-wave seeker measurement information in the terminal guidance section. Compound guidance system not only increases the distance of guided projectile, but also effectively improves the guidance precision of guided projectile. In order to make the guided projectile flight according to the designed programmed trajectory and guidance trajectory, designing the PID controller to the pitch stabilization loop and height control loop of guided projectile, tuning the controller parameters, analyzing the control performance in the frequency domain and time domain. Simulation results show that designed trajectory can achieve the requirements of effect long-distance and high hit precision, at the same time, control system has well dynamic characteristics and stability. As a transitional link of compound guided process, the select of shifting method between middle guidance and terminal guidance will affect the entire guided process, for this reason, this paper design a shift method of second order smooth transition, numerical calculations show that the method is feasible.
