As the development of society and economic, more and more intelligent applicationsand devices are introduced to improve the living standard and change our lifestyle throughthe usage of more advanced technologies such as communication, automation, electroncomponent, management and so on. Especially for the communication, with the evolutionof modern bandwidth access network, the subscribers can realize any applications theydemanded. In contrast, the informatization of electricity power grid is lag behindcommunication network, which can not comply with the burst demands for electricitypower and relative business. Smart grid is issued in currently to improve the performanceof automatic control, data communication, integrated management and multi-services ofpower grid, which is recommended as the best solution for the bloated, inefficient,backward power grid and consisted of AMI, ADO, ATO, AAM. Till now, many countriesthrough out of the world have issued the plan for the construction and establishment ofAMI system as the first stage for smart grid.AMI is a so important part for smart grid and can complete and built a two-wayinteractive communication network to realize the interactivity between power enterpriseand electric subscriber. For the design of AMI systems, AMI server based on MDMS andrelative auxiliary system, communication network, concentrator and collector, smart meterare required and can not be neglected. FTTx optical access solution is prevailed in thelatest year with the prominent preponderances of bandwidth, cost, stability and flexibilityand so on, compared with the traditional access network. The application integrated withAMI system and FTTx network can provide intelligent services such as smart home,customization and real-time information for the subscribers and will be popularized infuture.This paper is mainly focus on the smart grid AMI system based on the advancedFTTx technology. The first chapter proposed the necessity for the integration of smart gridand communication network technologies especially FTTx bandwidth access networktechnology. The reason for evolution of smart grid will be analysed and the structure of smart grid and AMI architecture will be describled in the chapter2. Concerning the ANnetwork solution for AMI system, a variety of probability will be discussed; The FTTxtechnology is recommended as the BN solution for AMI system, which will be explainedin the Chapter3, including FTTx overview, FTTx key technologies and FTTx applications;The Chapter4will provide a feasible design scheme for AMI system and a series ofexperiments will be demonstrated the possibility of different applications. Based on a pilotproject, the Chapter5will elaborate the practical application for the realization ofintegration between AMI system and GPON bandwidth access technology. In addition, theconclusions for the designment and the recommends for the potential problemimprovements will be selective analysed in details. For the Chapter6, a summary andoverlook will be described, based on the analysis of this thesis, to discuss the tendency forthe smart grid and the home area network. |
