Threaded connection as an important way in the vehicle assembly, almost all of the assembly parts are hard to leave the threaded connection, so the effective connection thread is very important for the performance of the vehicle, especially in the automotive chassis threaded connection which relate to the car’s safety, particularly crucial. In European, Threaded fastener tighten torque on cars has formulated the corresponding national standards. However, the domestic automobile industry development later, the design of threaded fasteners and selection did not cause the attention of the producers, so when purchasing threaded fasteners,the quality also not up to standard, even some do not meet the requirements of specification.Under this situation, Study the bolts of a domestic car company, this paper explores a kind of design for screw tightening torque of mini-cars front suspension system by dynamic simulation, it provides a set of reasonable scheme for calculation the pre-tightening force of bolts in different joints of mini-cars front suspension, bolt selection and the design of torque.Firstly, establishing mcpherson suspension multi-body dynamics model by using ADAMS/Car, and make a simulation analysis.Secondly, through suspension K&C test rig of mini-cars mcpherson suspension verify the dynamic model; After the vehicle multi-body dynamics model is established, and the five standard event simulation, proves the rationality of the whole vehicle dynamic model; Finally, through the study of the simulation of vehicle dynamics model, extract the tolerance of bolts in the different joints of front suspention, and thus for the pre-tightening force calculation and the design of the torque.The method has been adopted by the enterprise at present, and pass the real vehicle road test. Due to the vehicle dynamics simulation technology, the use of parameterized modeling, not only provides a reasonable reference range for bolt initial design, enhance the reliability of bolt connection, shortens the design research and development cycle, but also has great value of sustainable use for the subsequent new models of bolt pre-tightening force calculation and torque design.
