With the opening and reform policy implementation of the deepening, China’s socialeconomy rapid development, the construction industry in the gradual opening and in-depthdevelopment and at the same time, the introduction of bidding system, in line withinternational standards, so that the construction enterprise competition is especially fierce.Construction enterprises need to undertake projects to maintain the survival anddevelopment, in order to ensure the quality, safety engineering construction, througheffective measures for cost management, improve the economic efficiency of enterprises, totake the initiative in the market competition. Along with the construction enterprise systemreform deepening and development, engineering construction enterprise management modeis more perfect, the level of construction has been greatly improved, many enterprises areaware of, to improve market competitiveness, the key is to strengthen enterprise costmanagement. In fact, cost management is the key link of engineering project management,it will have an impact on other management, including project quality management,schedule management, construction safety management, resource management, etc..Therefore, the construction enterprises want to achieve healthy development, the key lies inensuring engineering quality and safety, and the use of scientific and effective means, toachieve maximum economic efficiency.In this paper, the author uses the empirical research method and theory analysis method,based on the research results to study the cost management problem, not only by themethod of qualitative analysis, the quantitative analysis method, emphasizes the integrationof theory with practice, analyzing and solving practical problems, study the theory andpractice organically.The first part is an overview on the research situation of cost management inengineering construction. Analysis of the domestic and foreign present for projectconstruction cost management, as well as the research object and analysis method.The second part is to explore the present stage of our engineering project constructioncost management theory, including the meaning and the composition of construction cost, cost control principles, the main influencing factors of construction cost, construction costcontrol of the main method.The third part analyzes the existing construction cost management at the present stageof engineering project in our country, including the management mode of constructionenterprises to be perfect, the project cost control methods need to be improved, costawareness project managers are not strong enough, at the same time, discusses from thefollowing5aspects of its improvement, including the innovation of construction enterprisemanagement idea, perfect the construction enterprise management system, enhance theproject site management level, enhance the management staff cost consciousness and theimplementation of the responsibility cost management. Through the analysis of the searchfor measures, puts forward the research direction of cost management.The fourth part analyzes the actual project case, through the analysis of thecharacteristics, Bainihe bridge expansion project construction cost management cost controlmeasures and achievements, points out the development direction of project costmanagement.Based on the analysis of the construction cost management in Bainihe bridgeexpansion project, the project cost management of construction process were analyzed,hoping to provide an important basis for the strategic decision of construction enterprises.
