| Abstract:Currently, with the high-speed development of economy, transportation that regarded as the lifeline of the national economy is undergoing a number of remarkable reforms, especially, the rapid growth of the rapid transit railway plays a pivotal role in recently years. Due to the unique characteristics of high railway, existing transportation system starts to encounter unprecedented impact. Moreover, the high-speed railway station is different from the bus and railway station in the past, which no longer merely a transit stop-it is a central junction for comprehensive urban traffic and transfer. Therefore, the completion of high-speed railway station will have significant influence on the locality, particularly on the urban structure, in the case, it is crucial to decide the location of station that may have great influence on city operation. This paper will conduct a study to summarize and evaluate the site selection methods of high-speed railway station from the aspect of urban design by using the performance evaluation methodology of urban spatial structure. To begin with the theory, this paper introduces the site selection of high-speed railway stations and performance of urban spatial structure. Moreover, it discusses the applicability of city space structure on site selecting of high-speed railway stations.Secondly, this study describes the traditional evaluation index system and tries to point out the value and defect. Then, according to above theoretical basis, the performance method of urban spatial structure is established, which as a supplementary to traditional system.Thirdly, doing analysis and assess on representative site of these three site selection methods separately and shows their advantages and disadvantages clearly. Moreover, this paper tries to propose better suggested high-speed railway locations.Last but not least, this paper is summarized and affirms that the urban spatial structure performance evaluation system is applicable to actual work and its significance of the following practice activities. |
