| Immersed tunnel has its own advantages in the tunnel constructions. It can balance the contradiction of crossing road and shipping traffic in the channel. Meanwhile, it has less impact on the surrounding areas. The most difficult points of management include the long period of construction on the water, which is liable to be influenced by wind, current, fog or temperature, and the necessity of avoiding impeding the shipping traffic.Located in the Central Business District of Yujiapu and Donggu and Xigu in Binhai New Area, Haihe immersed tunnel project is one of the most essential part in the construction of Central Road crossing the Haihe River and it is a most important road linking the south and north bank of the River. It is the first immersed tunnel project in the high intensity seismic zone in north China. It’s an urban arterial road and it has six lanes in both directions. The length of the immersed tube is255metres with high standard. In this project, new technologies and new research topics are widely introduced. The construction period of engineering ships is quite long. So the safety management of engineering ships is essential to the process and quality of the project.The paper introduces the development of immersed tunnels both abroad and home, the basic principles of safety and safety management. It also discusses the selection of the construction programs, the key points and the most difficult points of the project. Based on the background of the project, including the meteorological elements and the geological elements, the paper covers the details like the ships’ parameters, the sections and the process of the construction and the measures and technology. It also analysis the major hazards and the right measures taken. The project has been under construction for4years without any accident, so its management practice is worth studying. The paper probes into the establishment and operation of the safety management system, containing the topics of safety management concept, the aim, the safety measures and the management of the construction site. This project consists of many critical steps such as work at heights, outboard work, diving operation, so it is necessary to establish complete emergency management system. The project department implements strict management on site and optimizes construction scheme to realize the goal of safety.This paper studies the successful management of the project, and summarizes its scientific, standard and systematic management, in order to provide some useful experiences for the same kind of construction and improve the level of safety management of project on the water. |
