Emotional Design Research In The Exhibition Design

There are two sorts of color in reality. One sort of color is an integral part ofnatural objects, which can be said, is unchangeable as the attribute of objects. The othersort of color is artificial. Above is the difference between color and pigments. By saying“color and pigments”, we consider the meaning of the “color” as the first one, which isan attribute of an object, being immanent and natural, that is non-color with subtle hintsand elegant contrast. In the contrary, pigments refers to unnatural color which used onlyfor presenting some color with simple purpose.Through visual sense, color deeply influences people’s psychological movements,physical aspects, physiology angles and feelings. Color has very close relationship witharchitecture as well, which can further influence the material and spiritual life of people.While designing a building, the first issue that an architect consider about is structure,form and space, etc. From the point of architecture history, most architects have beencontinuously seeking personality and change and pursuing buildings with unique styles,but designing the color of architecture being put in a second place. However, the colorof architecture can not be decided subjectively by personal desires of the architect.The color of architecture has been changing because of various affects from society,technology, life and aesthetic. The social pressure in the21st century and the need ofcreating “social space”, both of them has speeded up the pace of life and the pace ofcolor aesthetic being changing. Thus people need their living environment beingtranquil, stable and natural more and more. As people’s dwelling environment, the colordesign of architecture is changing gradually. At this time, the color of architecture hasgradually been losing its aspects of being artificial, chemical and morden.As the return of the “white architecture” in late20th century and “simple”tendency architecture at the turn of century, architecture seems regained thecharacteristics of being rational, orderly and functional from modernism andinternationalism. Therefore, one of the most prominent feature of the contemporaryarchitecture design is convergence which is an international phenomenon. It is thedevelopment trend of architecture that is modernization and convergence. Architecturebegins to lose the rich color it used to own. Therefore, the color of the contemporaryarchitecture mainly presents the texture of natural material and artificial material, whichis a subtle non-color. The color scheme prefers some neutral colors such as white andgray. As continuous attentions are paid to the issues of environment pollution, resourcesshortage, population explosion and nature protection, etc, it is being highly approved bymany countries that we should develop low-carbon economy and sustainabledevelopment strategy. Now, it becomes necessary that architecture is becomingecological, green, recyclable and sustainable. The color of architecture should be asubtle and elegant non-color which follows the immanent color of ecological andnatural material of the architecture. Besides, to some extent, the color of architecture isshort however changing. The combination of color of architecture, light and shadowbecomes the pursuit of many great architects and lots of contemporary buildings.Further more, the color in fantasy world has got the potential to be strengthened. Fromthis aspect, the development of color of architecture is diversified.
