China attached great importance to the construction of urban emergency shelters, especially for the planning, construction and renovation of Urban Disaster Prevention Parks. However, the existing construction and transformation just add emergency facilities, disaster prevention and the park itself building blend in a lower level of practice. City Disaster Prevention Park closely related to urban construction and people’s lives. It not only carries the important mission of the people’s leisure activities also responsible for disaster prevention and mitigation. The edge space is the most sensitive area, but did not receive sufficient attention and reasonable construction.The research through observation, questionnaire and computer analysis on the edge of the Chengdu People’s Park disaster prevention space, comprehensive and objective reflection of its functions, characteristics, types, elements, structure, used daily and disaster prevention in evaluation, evacuation psychological, etc. Hope that the research results can provide a reference on the edge of disaster prevention park space construction and development, and promote disaster prevention park planning more comprehensive, rational and humane.Through a comprehensive comparison and analysis drew the following conclusions:1. People’s Park Disaster Prevention green edge space type is more varied, can be divided into closed, half open half closed and open space, and urban roads, buildings, water, cultural relics and historic sites connected to the edge of space.2. People’s Park Disaster Prevention green edge with extensive spatial characteristics, with areas of sex, public sex, intermediary, fuzziness, levels, effectiveness, providing shelter, accessibility, heterogeneity, transitional, permeability, continuity and other features.3.
