Electro magnetic pulses simulator can generate high energy electro magneticwave which could shut down electric system instantly and have a negative effect onthe economy. The continuous development of modern military and high energyweapon of electronic tactics require electro magnetic pulses simulator conductexperimental research work on a variety of related electro magnetic pulses effect andstrengthening techniques. Nowadays, the renewal speed of the instrument inuniversity laboratory is faster and faster, which require faster update to theequipments and components of the electro magnetic pulses simulator, and require theelectrical parameters of the instruments to achieve the testing standard. Based on thispoint, this article made in-depth study to the theory and structure for the element ofthe electro magnetic pulses simulator, design electro magnetic pulses simulatorelement by theoretical analysis and numerical calculation, optimize its performanceand Analysis and summary correlated characteristic for the electro magnetic pulsessimulator by the simulation experiment platform.This article primary research the bounded wave electro magnetic pulsesimulator. All the parts of the simulator is: simulator voltage adjustment operationtest bench, AC DC voltage device, effective capacitance, energy absorptionresistance and so on. According to the efficacy can have the following parts: pulseexcitation source, electromagnetic forming device, field distortion switch and so on.There, field distortion switch, working area, before transition section, terminalmatched load are core element to determine the performance of simulator. This textcarry on research through correlation theory of the simulator components, such asTowson theory, Paschen law, theory of transmission lines. Use Towson theory, Paschen law,theory of transmission lines to research the correlate components ofsimulator, and take advantage of the above research process design terminal matchedload and electromagnetic forming area by theoretical analysis and calculation. Thencalculate the static breakdown voltage, switch conduction time, the switchinductance and switching characteristic, through the above analysis and calculationresults, design the structural of electrode, switch shell, switch sealing for the fielddistortion switch.Based on the above analysis, use Electromagnetic tensor method and Matlab tosimulate and calculate the arbitrary point P electric field of simulator space. Thenthrough Matlab to solve the equation set and simulate electromagnetic field. Thoughthe simulation results and theoretical analysis know: when characteristic impedanceof the electromagnetic forming region is equal to the terminal matched load, thereflect of the electromagnetic wave spread to the terminal load is very small. Thendasign terminal load and adjust the load resistance, to achieve the aim that it ismatching to the characteristic impedance of the electromagnetic forming region.Then through field distortion switch, voltage conduction properties of simulator,analyzes the influence of load voltage taken by experiment parameters, and theproblem appeared in the experiments, optimize the performance of theelectromagnetic pulse simulator.
