According to the actual demand that the xxx base needs real-time online detection for high precision over liquid level, this paper put forwards a detection system for high precision of liquid level based on the combination techniques of laser triangulation and virtual instrument. This system measures liquid level’s variation with its laser trigonometric displacement pickup in real time, collects data via data capture card after light-to-current inversion and analog-to-digital conversion, also realizes real-time cycle detection to multiple measurement points by its actuating device centering on linear motor and motion control card. The system is designed to be man-machine interface with Lab VIEW and incorporates functions of real-time data analysis, image display, consecutive collection and data view etc. It also can analyze the errors that influent the precision of liquid level detection.The experiment of liquid level testing verified the accuracy and precision of detected data. The designed liquid level detection system can realize real-time, online and automatically high precision detection, and it can fulfill dozens of hours’ detection of micrometric displacement and wide-range and high precision requirements. Also, this system is stable.
