Automotive air conditioning compressor is the core component of the automotive air conditioning system, so experimental verification are required during the project development and product warranty period, and the durability of the compressor need continue improvement.This paper discusses the motion characteristics of compressor, performance parameters, combines the development process of the compressor of Swash Plate type with variable displacement, tests the reliability of compressor on test bench, for analyze and summarize the compressor test data in variable speed conditions and high-speed intermittent working conditions. The verification of the compressor on the condition of reduced refrigerant and fuel is complete to perform the necessary design improvements.To analysis the failure mode classification, a returned failure compressor was texted for searching the root cause of the failure. Reproduces failure phenomenon through the test method, improve the design and process, simulation the results to avoid the similar failure repeating appears.
