Along with increase of people’s automobile holdings gradually in our daily life, the urban traffic pressure increases gradually, the "parking difficulty" problem is becoming one of the most important problems of people’s life in the city. Because of the blind area behind of the car, the inaccuracy of the distance estimation and the narrow parking space, it becomes more and more difficult if the drivers want to park their vehicle safely, which caused more and more accident.An effective parking auxiliary guide system can make drivers understand the environment behind them more clearly, and help drivers finish parking easily, which reduce the incidence of accidents.The parking auxiliary guide system introduced in this paper is based on the ARM microprocessor, we studied the steering wheel angle detection module based on giant magnetic sensor named TLE5011first, which realize the steering wheel Angle detection, and calculate.Then we studied image acquisition and LCD display technology of the CMOS image sensor, after the basic processing and calibration, we can get the space information of the vehicle.At last,we studied the key technology of the parking guide line algorithm, and completed the design of parking auxiliary guide system.We used Linux operating system for the system design, transmited the steering wheel angle data based on CAN bus, the operation speed of the system improved significantly, and finally through field test, the driver can easily park the car into the parking space just according to auxiliary guide lines displayed on the LCD. The system can calculate the distence of obstacles without ultrasonic sensors, reduces the need to electronic components, and reduces the cost.It makes it is possible that more and mor low-end cars can equip with this kind of intelligent astern image auxiliary system to help drivers park their cars.It has quite big practical value.
