Design And Application Of CAN Bus Based Vehicle Terminal System

This paper presents a vehicle terminal system based on CAN bus, the system is able to run real-time vehicle location, record mileage, fuel consumption monitor various status information, engines, motors, etc., and to the Internet via CDMA transmission through the network server data processing, for the safe operation of the vehicle to provide a guarantee.In the design process, first the feasibility of the design of the vehicle terminal were demonstrated, and to develop the design requirements. Second, the development of a detailed protocol and application layer CAN bus were discussed, while each node of the system has been designed. Finally, the system’s software and hardware design and simulation software has been tested, the test results show that the design meets the target.
