With the rapid development of the urbanization and community economy, the traffic jam,the traffic accident, environment pollution and resources shortage were becoming the first problem to be faced. Urban intersections as the location of the urban road intersection were the most outstanding place. The affiliated facilities including: The car lights, Pedestrian traffic lights, monitoring, street lamp, indicator, distribution box, high-pole lamp, and trash can. Research content mainly includes three aspects: function, appearance and layout. Then select one of the representatives’ crossings through the use of the tape measure and laser rangefinder photo records layout on the appearance and function analysis, Points out the irrationality. The main existing problems was first lack reasonable plane planning, second lack system function, third lack city feature.Second, the research analysis the problem based on the investigation, design standard and case in Japan. The investigation was including history reason, plan reason, notion aspect, and municipal design management and legislation aspects.The above problems are mainly historical reasons, planning reasons, regard the concept, design management and the reasons for the municipal legislative caused. Therefore, the authors interpretation of the relevant design specifications through learning and success stories in Japan, presented the three ancillary facilities on urban transportation crossroads environmental design principles and methods:First, the flat layout using the layout neat uniform principles, including the following three methods:layout of the status quo, reduce security risks.
