Exploration Of Interior Waiting Space Design Based On The Psychology

Waiting space, is a place to provide function for waiting and a certain degree of rest for the floating population. It has four characteristics:high population mobility, weak spatial independence, good extension and obvious affiliatedness.The demand of waiting space in the environment shows in a variety of forms in business, displaying, office and municipal construction space.The key points of design and the additional function change according to the different nature of waiting space. Our country is populous with great many floating population, the number of waiters is significantly higher than other countries, thus there is a wide range of requirements to waiting space design. Perfect waiting space design can improve space utilization, lengthen service life,and its software service level will also be raised accordingly.Waiting space design as part of the space design is also closely related to other disciplines, in addition to the sufficient consideration of color, shape, material and others, more attention should be paied to waiters’ psychological reaction to the design elements above.In this paper, surrounding the points above, from the angle of environmental psychology, using the techniques of related waiting space design to analysis and argument the waiting space design:First of all, classify the waiting space on the basis of literature review and field survey, using spatial characteristics of same category for lateral comparison, and spatial characteristics of different class waiting for longitudinal comparison, find out the common features of waiting space design; Second, by adopting the method of questionnaire and data statistics, analysis the different psychological feelings and needs according to different function spaces, and find out the personality features of waiting space; Third, parsing the relationship between the environmental psychology and waiting space to analysis the relationship between waiters’ behavior and various experience. Through the analysis for the mood,behavior and the sense perception on the relationship between the environmental psychology and waiting space parse; Fourth, it is concluded the principles and methods of waiting spaces design. In the end, this paper draw phase conclusionz at: Memory chain of space, optimize function design, follow the inclusive design principle.Among them, how to solve the negative emotions of waiters in public places, is the starting point of this article.Waiting space design based on environmental psychology angle joined with the space inclusive design, can be regarded as innovation point in this paper.
