The Feasibility Analysis On1700TEU Container Ship Without Cargo Crane

At present in the global container shipping, many large container ships of more than3000TEU as the main line ship, because of its docking ports are equipped with quantity andcontainer loading and unloading efficiency of container crane, don’t need to provide cargocrane in the ship, while the small under200TEU container ship, because of its form is toosmall, its stability can’t meet the demand of the installation of the crane, so the containercapacity of container ship with cargo crane are between3000TEU and200TEU, accounts forabout25%of the world’s number of full container ship. In the container ships of self-providedcargo crane, container capacity about40%of the container ship is between2000~1500TEU.But with the development of container shipping, a growing number of ports in the worldwith a container terminal and equipped with all kinds of efficient container handlingequipment, the utilization of cargo crane in the container ship is more and more low, affectedby the world economic crisis continues, more and more shipping company not enough moneybegan to consider order the container ship without cargo crane.In order to adapt to the demand of the market, To build feeder container ship ofGuangzhou Wenchong shipyard co., ltd. will change the flagship product--1700TEUcontainer ship with cargo crane to1700TEU container ship without cargo crane and lanchmarket. This article is based on the comparison between1700TEU container ship with cargocrane and1700TEU container ship without cargo crane, using the analytic hierarchy process(AHP) to determine the feasibility of1700TEU container ship without cargo crane.Finally through the analysis, we get the result that1700TEU container ship withoutcargo crane is better than1700TEU container ship with cargo crane in the currentenvironment.
