Due to its constant transmission ratio, high efficiency, stable transmission, long service life and compact structure, cylindrical involute gear is widely used in engineering practice. The paper focuses on the transmission gear of the high-speed trains, and bases on spatial meshing theory, dynamic contact simulation analysis and reliability assessment, carries out the analysis of dynamic meshing simulation. The distribution rule of the fatigue strength of gear root and tooth surface are studied respectively. Then count the load data from the actual operating situation of high-speed trains, and load spectrum is obtained. At last reliability is calculated according to the interference model between stress and strength. The paper includes the following contents:First of all, every curve equation of tooth profile is derived. Two entity models of the helical gears are generated by use of parametric modeling function of PRO/Engineer software. And according to the principle of spatial meshing of involute cylindrical helical gear, the assembly relation of helical gear pair is determined and the precise assembly model is generated. Also the meshing gears are adjusted based on the actual processing and modification.Secondly, gears are meshed by Hypermesh software, and the finite element model of five teeth is created. Through the dynamic contact analysis by finite element analysis software-ABAQUS, stress distribution patterns of tooth root and tooth surface are drawn. The change rule of stress distribution in the process of a complete meshing cycle is studied. At last, the computing formula of reliability is inferred according to the stress-strength interference theory. Count the load data from the actual operating situation of high-speed trains, and load spectrum is obtained, and simulate the corresponding stress spectrum by ABAQUS software. There are two cases to consider:the distribution of both stress and strength obey normal distribution and lognormal distribution, then reliability evaluation is given.
