| The street is an important part of the city,and it is related to the quality of a citydirectly,which is also the backbone of the city.With the development of space andconstruction in the urban,old has been a synonym of the old town.Nevertheless,the oldtown’s features and style can not be replaced in people’s minds.People have taken attentionon how old city keeps maintaining its vitality and shows the character during the rapiddevelopment of the city.This article studies the excellent cases and theoretical research of streetscape design athome and abroad,summarizing the streetscape design technique and design elements,makesure of street types.With understanding of historical culture and construction of the oldregion in Hefei City,the author investigates the old region of Hefei on the basis of the streetlandscape design methods and design elements which have been summarized.And finallywe select some typical streets of Hefei to conduct the key investigation.The focus of theinvestigation includes many aspects,such as traffic,street space,street,building,streetgreening,facilities of the old region streets of different types.It analysis the causes of thesedifferences,reflects the shortcomings of street landscape design,and summarizes emphasisof the different types on street landscape design.On the basis of the above survey and excellent cases study,we summarize the designstrategy the old city streetscape,establish streetscape design pattern language of differenttypes,which include traffic street,living street,commercial street and mixed street.The oldcity streetscape design should be of security,identification,humane,continuity,integrity,is tostrengthen regional characteristics,improve the building facade,rich green landscape,enhance the urban furniture and grasp the street-scale,and then design of the different typeson street landscape of emphasis.Among these aspects,the language of mixed streetscape isestablished by an example,which is a reconstruction scheme in the Yangtze River Roadof Hefei.Traffic streetscape design considers the speed of the visual impact on thestreetscape.According to the sensitivity of human to landscape at different speeds,itimproves the building facades and street furniture.And it pays more attention to the choicesof street furniture and street traffic using the function needs to ensure the safety ofpedestrians and vehicles.The green focus is to reduce the pollution of the street.Livingstreetscape design considers the size of human psychological perceptions,stresses theimportance of the spirit of residence street place, and pays more attention to the practicality of the landscape in design.Commercial streetscape design emphases mainly on the formand scale of street commercial distribution.It sets commercial activities through theanalysis of the flow of people on the street.Squares and greening are important to maintainthe vitality of the commercial streets,which emphasizing the use of the crowd landscapedesign.Mixed street landscape design needs to consider the nature and function of the landand buildings along the street,it can be designed which combined with the main streetfeatures of different sections.It should be pay more attention to disperse the crowd andprovide open space in the area of mixed function strong.With the research of streetscapedesign elements,this article hopes to find a new breakthrough and enhances the quality ofthe old town. |
