As a leader of the large-span space structures, reticulated shells is widelyadopted in modern architecture. According to different arrangement of the members,it developed many types of reticulated shell structure and formed a huge "family".Among this "family", the cylindrical reticulated single layer shell is more widely usedthan others. However for the single layer shell thickness and span is very huge, it isprone to lose stabilization under the action of dynamic load. Therefore, it is veryurgent and necessary to study the dynamic stability and the anti-seismic performanceof the cylindrical reticulated single layer shell.Currently, the research on the seismic performance and dynamic stability ofcommon single-layer cylindrical reticulated shell structure has already been quitemature, whose members arranged along the circular arc line. However researching onsingle layer reticulated cylindrical shell structure formed by the arch is notenough.Members arrange along the inverted catenary form a new shell—invertedcatenary single layer cylindrical reticulated shells. Based on this new shell form, thisthesis studies its seismic performance and dynamic stability thoroughly andsystematically by using ANSYS finite element software.First, the vibration characteristics of inverted catenary single layer cylindricalreticulated shells were studied. And the change rules of vibration characteristics wereobtained with the large scale parameter analysis. Then, by comparing the dynamicresponse of different member layout structures under frequent seismic load, anreasonable member layout in inverted catenary single layer cylindrical reticulatedshell was proposed. After that, on this basis, the structure’s dynamic seismic responsecharacteristics under the action of horizontal, vertical and three-dimensional seismicload were researched.And the results of three-dimensional seismic dynamic responsewere compared with the results of common arc single-layer cylindrical latticed shell.Finally, taking the geometric and material nonlinear into consideration, westudied the inverted catenary single layer cylindrical reticulated shells dynamicbuckling critical acceleration and buckling mode. The research in this thesis can provide theoretical basis and reference for thepracatical engineering applicatuion of such structure.
