Space structure is a very attractive structure system,and the reticulated shell is one of the furthest development and the most widely applied space structures in the recent half century.With the widely application of the large-span reticulated shells, the properties of the structures were more and more important,especially the stability of the structure.Based on the existing numerical analysis and experimental materials of the practical project,the static stability and dynamic stability of the large-span single-layer ellipsoid reticulated shell were analyzed by ANSYS in the thesis.And it can provide some valuable references to the research in this field.The main contents of this thesis are shown as follows:1.According to the special formation of the practical single-layer ellipsoid reticulated shell,the influence on the static stability acted by the following aspects was discussed:(1)The influence of the stiffness of vaulted beam,which is in the foreside of the reticulated shell.(2)Considering the effect of the support condition.(3)Comparing the difference between the static stability of the shell with elastic and elastic-plastic material property.2.The dynamic stability properties of the practical reticulated shell subjected to earthquake motion were researched in detail,the following aspects were discussed:(1)The dynamic stability behaviors of shell under horizontal or vertical earthquake wave were investigated.(2)Utilizing several earthquake waves to get the effect of different input wave.(3)Discussing the influence of different value of initial geometry imperfection.(4)Comparing the difference between the dynamic stability of the shell with elastic and elastic-plastic material property.Finally,the compare analysis between the static stability and the dynamic stability were done,in addition,some conclusions were drawn and some topics that should be further studied were brought forward.
