Barrel blending reclaimer is one of the main equipment for mineral blending, it is widely used in metallurgy, electric power, building materials and other industries, its blending effect have a great impact on the rational use of resources. This paper was come from the Port Affair Company of Wuhan Iron and Steel (Group) Corporation. In this paper, the drive system of barrel blending reclaimer is the main study object.Firstly, this paper briefly introduced the preblending system and working principle of barrel blending reclaimer, and then analyzed the reasons of its common failure. So the author proposed initial program of transforming the drive system into hydraulic system, and has analyzed about its feasibilitySecondly, the kinematics and dynamics of slider-crank system is analyzed, and MATLAB/Simulink is used to simulate the slider-crank system. On this basis, we carried out the design and transformation of hydraulic system.Finally, AMESim is used to simulate and analyze the hydraulic system, on the based of simulation. The author carried out optimization program and comparatively analyzed the various optimization programs, and then adopts proportional directional system. In addition, the author analyzed working condition of the proportional directional system under different load, and comparatively analyzed the experimental data and simulation data under no-load and the maximum load, the result indicated that the simulation of the optimization program is correct and it has good guiding to actual working system.
