Fe-6.5wt%Si Silicon Steel Sheet have the characteristics such as excellent magneticconductivity, near zero magnetostriction coefficient, low core loss in medium and high frequencyand low coercive force.So it has been widely used in generator,high speed electric machine andtransformers.However, due to its brittleness, it is difficult to process molding by conventionalmethods.Fe-6.5wt%Si slice was available in the present study after silicon was deposited on thesurface of plain pure steel sheet with0.1mm heavy through PCVD,then treated at a hightemperature.Film samples have been characterized and analyzed by comprehensive use ofXRD,SEM,EDS,AFM and other means of analysis of test.The influence of various processparameters on the factors,such as the surface phase structure of the Fe-Si film,the surface andcross-sectional microstructure, microhardness distribution and magnetic properties have beendiscussed respectively as follows:The as-deposited high-silicon Fe-Si films were composed of compact particles,which werecomposed of BCC Fe-Si solid solution and Fe3Si.40.5%of the surface silicon is obtained by the10%SiH4and90%Ar as the seepage source,500°C deposition for20min.On the PCVD process,the most significant influencing factor on the sample surface silicon content is the temperature,as the temperature increases, the surface silicon content increased first, then decreased to acertain extent.But the deposition time and gas ratio effects on the silicon content of samplesurface is relatively small. High-silicon gradient silicon steel with good performance is obtainedin the protection of industrial pure H2at1050°C insulating for60min.In this case, thecompactness and uniformity of Fe-Si films improved significantly.The results of magnetic properties test show that the iron loss P1.0/50and flux density Bs are0.92W·Kg-1and1.58T-1respectively. On the PCVD process, the most significant influencingfactor on the iron loss is the deposition temperature. But the deposition time and gas ratio effectson the iron loss is very little. Moreover, the iron loss P1.0/50and magnetic induction B50show adownward trend with increased annealing temperature and annealing time.
