Coal gangue is a solid waste which generated in the production process of coal.Those solid waste not only take up much land, but also pose a extremely serious threatto the surrounding plants and animals, people’s life and property security, and pollutethe environment. The comprehensive utilization of coal gangue in the field of civilengineering research has become an important research topic.First, the material properties of coal gangue, lime and fly ash was tested. The testdetermines whether it can be used as the foundation replacement materials. Conductuniaxial compression test on each group designed by uniform experimental designmethod. Choose the mixing ratio of better economy and strength from the test results.Conduct foundation replacement test on this ratio with two kinds of commoncompaction parameter. The static load test is adopted to test. Analyze the test results,and finds that after the foundation replacement, the higher foundation bearing capacityis, the larger foundation deformation modulus is. It can be used as foundationreplacement material below twenty layer building. After comprehensive comparison ofthe two groups, choose a set of mix proportioning to apply in a certain six storiesresidential foundation replacement of Xingtai coal mine living area. Through the staticload test, the test report proves that it has a good foundation performance. Foundationbearing capacity and foundation deformation modulus all meet the design requirements.Finally, this paper carries on a comprehensive evaluation of the environmentbenefit, technical benefit and economic benefit and social benefit of the coal ganguemixture as the foundation replacement material. It indicates that coal gangue mixture asa foundation replacement material is fully applicable, and the mixture can protect theenvironment, saving resources.
