Nowadays, the development of China’s light-rail traffic is booming.But the crisscross pattern of light-rail pathways and the structures have brought great effect on the environment. As one of the open spaces, the city landscape space of light-rail has a lot of problems hinder the development of the roadside landscape resources seriously but neglected by people which are known as underused space and mismatch between the light-rail and roadside landscape. The author hopes make contribution to the research on the coordination of city open space through evaluating the light-rail and roadside landscape from the coordination point. Making full use of the theory knowledge of the coordination of city open landscape space and combination with the number2light-rail in Chongqing, this research provides some supports to help get a "green light" of the landscape visual channel.Based on visual-image materials taken by the digital camera from the drivers’ point, this article explores a set of comprehensive method to evaluate the degree of coordination between the light-rail and the roadside landscape. The main conclusions are as follows:(1)Based on field investigation and relevant analysis theory, the average speed of number2light-rail in Chongqing is about40km/h. According to the visual characteristics of drivers, the best horizontal distance of the landscape along the light-rail is about1332m-3330m. The optimal tuning horizontal distance shall be more than one station and less than three stations.(2)According to some relevant analysis theory, this article concluded four evaluation indexes of comprehensive evaluation in terms of image features and visual properties which are color index, texture index, linear index and layout index.The result of the importance of indexes contributing evaluate the coordination of light rail and landscape through their weight value is that color index> layout index>linear index>texture index.(3)The index value is determined by the quantization of evaluation factor. For example, the color index is reflected by brightness, contrast, hue and richness of the colors. The texture index is reflected by roughness. The linear index is reflected by rate of curve and linear angle. The layout index is reflected by area ratio and vertical distance of visual axis.(4) Establishing comprehensive evaluation model is established with set pair analysis method and weighted average method and put forward error test method. Comprehensive evaluation results of the two methods are basically the same as both results indicate Chongqing light rail line2is basically in harmony with and the landscape which approves that the evaluation result is accurate, reasonable.(5)According to different types of landscape and the actual situation of the number2light-rail in Chongqing, the light-rail is divided into the following four sections: river landscape from Jiaochangkou section to Niuiiaotuo section, mountain landscape from horn Niuiiaotuo section to Yuanjiagang section, city road landscape from Yuanjiagang section to Dayancun section, city residential and ancillary landscape from Dayancun section to Xinshancun section. The result of the coordination of landscape obtained through the comprehensive evaluation method is as following: mountain landscape> river landscape> city residential and ancillary landscape> city road Landscape. Combined with visual-image features, this article searches the reasons for comprehensive evaluation difference and put forward the improvement suggestions in accordance with the visual characteristics of drivers.(6) Based on using four indexes’ properties of the visual-image which are the color index, the texture index, the linear index and the layout index, and combining with the coordination of the comprehensive evaluation value, the coordination of different types of the light-rail landscape in color, abundance, spatial structure, scale, layout, etc. can be analysed.
