In the process of steel structure manufacture, steel welding distortion is inevitable inthe process of production and installation, and the welding deformation must be effect thequality of steel structure.Nowadays, along with the development of steel structure in industrial, civilconstruction, large steel member is more and more widely used in construction. It is veryimportant how to control the growing problem of welding deformation. However, if youwant to effectively control welding deformation of steel structure buildings, the key is howto accurately predict the distribution of welding deformation. The research on the methodsof welding distortion prediction has made great breakthrough at home and abroad, Butthe existing research results with high precision of prediction analysis method mainlyfocuses in the field of machinery manufacturing, is not widely applied in steel structureconstruction field.This article combined with real projects, put forward new method that can apply tosteel structure construction field, the method can predict the welding deformation of a steelstructure with a finite element method simply and efficiently. The method considering theeffects of construction steel structure deformation, according to characteristics and essenceof the production process of residual stress, simplified the variation process of entirewelding and temperature. The temperature variation process is decomposed into severalsteps. In this paper we simplified temperature function, we changes the weldingtemperature into equivalent node load, avoids the complexity analysis of thermodynamics,heat conduction calculation; the calculation formula of internal force are deduced.Finally, this article compared the results which obtained by using this method withmeasured data, the results show that the method is correct, available. Through this methodcan accurately predict the deformation process of the building steel structure, the analysisresult can advance the more targeted program, this method can not only be used for thedeformation control analysis of building steel structure, also can be used for design theconstruction scheme.
