Room temperature magnetic refrigeration is a new refrigeration technology which hasthe potential to replace the traditional gas compression refrigeration. In recent years,researchers all over the world pay more and more attentions to the development ofmagnetic refrigeration technology. However, magnetic refrigeration are not mature yet inboth theoretical research or prototype design, such as the study of mechanism, materialpreparation, magnetocaloric effect, magnetic field source, magnetic regenerator researchect., are lack of sufficient and experimental data for reference. In addition, magneticrefrigeration prototypes are limited cooling capacity and temperature cross, unable toachieve an expected level of performance. The current prototypes all use superconductingmagnets or permanent magnets, which makes prototype costly and complicated eithermagnetic field intensity low and nonuniform; moreover, magnet and material must take arelative motion to excitate and demagnetize. This series of problems seriously hinderedthe development of magnetic refrigeration technology. aiming at the above problems,thisthesis put forward the world first AMR magnetic refrigerator under high pulsed magneticfield combined with the advantages of high pulsed magnetic fie ld, which hasthecharacteristics of Simple structure and low cost,strong magnetic field intensity and nomovement, expecting to achieve a high cooling capacity and temperature cross. This thesisset up a new research direction of the magnetic refrigeration technology and equipment,has a great scientific significance.This thesis study the magnetocaloric effect of the material under high magnetic field,research the performance the key component of the magnetic refrigerator---magneticregenerator by experiment, develop the AMR theory under the pulse magnetic field, anddo the preliminary design of this new type magnetic refrigeration prototype device.The magnetocaloric effect measurement generally were studied only in low magneticfield, this thesis will measure and research the magnetocaloric performance of magneticrefrigeration material on high magnetic field, as the basis for proto type design. Therewere not yet any fully and reliable experimental data about the core part of the magnetic refrigerator----Magnetic Regenerator, this paper will set up a experiment platform, andmeasure the pressure drop and heat transfer performance of the Magnetic RegeneratorThetraditional mechanism of magnetic refrigeration was only used in static magnetic field,this thesis will contrast it with the mechanism under pulse magnetic field to make aqualitative analysis, and make a simplified condition to quantitative theoreticalcalculation.Because the traditional mechanism of magnetic refrigeration is difficult toapply to the pulse magnetic field, this paper will preliminarily develop the AMR magneticrefrigeration theory under pulse magnetic field and carries on the qualitative analysis ofthe heat transfer and advantages. this paper will put forward a new type of magneticrefrigeration prototype by using pulse magnet (instead of the superconducting magnet andpermanent magnet), static type (instead of reciprocating and rotary), and done preliminarydesignto the device.
