On the basis of the analysis of detection technology research at home and abroad inroad construction, the paper proposed a remote monitoring system of road constructionprocess focusing on the realization of the asphalt mixing plant.This paper placed emphasis on studying remote monitoring of asphalt mixing plant.According to the working principle of asphalt mixing plant, it proposes a method of usingimage processing to monitor asphalt mixes data. First of all, it split into asphalt mixing plantvideo signal through video distributor, all the way video used for the operation of the site andanother be captured to the IPC through image acquisition card. According to the DirectShowdevelopment image acquisition software and image processing software, the video image canbe displayed, saved and retrieved character data of mixing materials. Then identification datacan be transmitted using the wireless network GPRS. Finally, the remote monitoring centercan display mix data, draw mix ratio and grading curve through the analysis and processingreceived data, achieve alarm, guide the production. It can achieve the function of asphaltmixing data and asphalt equipment working hours data storage, query, statistics and reports.
