On the urban roads, traffic accidents caused by drivers account for70to90percent of allaccidents, most of which happen due to emergent events on the urban roads. Therefore, it iscrucial to study the emergent events on the urban roads. On the basis of the data which can beobtained through the analysis of these events, the traffic environment can be improved andeffective optimum proposal can be put forward for the design of vehicles. The study is ofpractical significance for urban traffic accidents can be reduced. The paper deals with the three typical accidents, between pedestrian and vehicles, between rider and vehicle, and between vehicles, through the analysis of different forms ofaccidents under different road circumstances. The dynamic and static features of emergentevents on the urban roads can be identified by means of the combination of the videos, photosof typical emergent events and the investigation. The scene can be drawn by the application ofthree-dimension software. These accidents can be classified as four types, collision betweenvehicle and pedestrian, collision between vehicle and rider, collision between vehicles, andcollision in special weather circumstances. It is required to conduct a questionnaire on the emergent events on the urban roads, listweighted values with regard to different kinds of drivers, and identify the severity andfrequency of different kinds of accidents. Information base, which includes contributors, causes, victims, forms, probable results and prevention measures, can be constructed withregard to high-frequency and high-risk emergent events. The images of the emergent eventscan be reproduced by means of three-dimension drawing techniques.
