Geological sites is the rare and non-renewable nature heritage, which is formed,developed and kept by the external and internal force during the long time geologicalevolution of the earth. The geological sites are the precious gift provided by the natureto the human, and protecting the geological sites is human’s responsibility.Establishing geoparks is a new way to protect the geological sites. And the geoparkscontains high value of scientific research and scientific popularization, and extremehigh value of economic and aesthetics, and the unique geological scenery is the fountof natural beauty.In modern society, the tourism is becoming one of the most developing anddynamic industry in national economy. As the people’s living standards improves andthe awareness of environment raises, the understanding, attitude and value orientationto tourism has been changed relatively. People can’t get satisfied simply by sceneryviewing, so geological tourism comes into people’s vision nowadays. In these years,the geological tourism is under development in some places according to localsituation. However, in some place, geological tourism hasn’t been planned well, itdidn’t achieve the intended effect, but caused certain damage to the geological sites.Therefore, it is meaningful to understand correctly the value of geoparks, to decidescientifically and to develop the national geoparks reasonably.This paper adopts the analytic hierarchy process. The paper selects fivecategories, including27determination of factors to establish the evaluation model ofnational geopark value, and it also shows the quantitative analysis and qualitativeevaluation to the national geoparks of Fujian Province. The national geoparks ofFujian Province can be divided into three grades according to the comprehensivescores of tourism value evaluation. The first grade, which is the highest grade,contains Dajinhu of Taining, Shenhu Bay of Jinjiang, Coast Vocano of Zhangzhou,Swanholes Group of Ninghua; the second grade contains Baiyun Mountain of Fu’an,Taoyuandong of Yong’an, Taimu Mountain of Fuding, Guanzhi Mountain ofLiancheng, Baishuiyang of Pingnan; the third grade contains Shiniu Mountain of Dehua, Lingtong Mountain of Pinghe, Fuzi Mountain of Zhenghe. The paper alsoincludes the analysis to the features of national geoparks space distribution,combining with the geographic position of each other. The paper also has thediscussion about the features of national geoparks, according to the geologicalstructure, climatic condition, vegetation resources, historical sites, catering cultureand the source of guest market.The study of this paper can provides the information for the tourists to know wellabout the landscape types, space distribution and other general situation of Fujiannational geoparks, and it can also provide the information for geoparks committee forself-developing and self-improving.
