As living standards rising, the building heating comfort has gradually attracted people’s attention. However, for the medium-sized and small-sized cities in hot summer and cold winter area, the development of heating equipment system wouldn’t be coordinated in residential buildings for its limited economic development, the assimilation technology of material, heating equipment and construction, and the abandoned local energy. By using the form of water source heat pump technology and radiant floor heating for the buildings, we can get the advantages of high comfort, low energy consumption, and good sanitary conditions which solved the contradiction between comfort and health in varying degrees. And also, we can get the advantages of small occupation area, no pollution, low power consumption, low cost, which reduced the condition that the ability of heating and cooling system would be affected by temperature greatly. The floor radiant heating system of water source heat pump can use renewable low temperature in water source, like groundwater and surface water, to heat the interior floor evenly with low electricity consumption. The use of water source heat pump radiant floor heating system increased quickly and the heating system form developed widely in northern area, but not in the south of Shaanxi province. This paper wish to provide reliable assurance and data for its popularization and use by research on the practical engineering with experimental test and analysis.This paper researched on the use of underground water source heating pump system for residential buildings in the south of Shaanxi province. Through the investigation of urban residential buildings in Hanzhong city and its typical practical equipment use, the paper get the possibility of using underground water source heating pump system for residential buildings in the south of Shaanxi province. And then, this paper get the temperature data of indoor ones, floor surface ones, surrounding structure surface ones, and average radiation ones in the chamber of continuous and intermittent operating conditions by measuring on "Bamboo Garden Residence"in Hanzhong to get the operational characteristics and indoor thermal comfort conditions.At last, this paper made "Bamboo Garden Residence" which used underground water source heating system as the simulation object by using the software of PHOENICS. This object established the mathematical model of the radiant floor indoor thermal environment, like temperature field, velocity field, PMV, PPD, etc. It also get the result of heating effect and thermal environment characteristics for floor heating system.
