Study Of The Conservation And Designing Of The Environment Around The Modern And Contemporary Historical Buildings In Xi’an

The rapid development of modern city results in the large-scale urban developmentand urban dismantlement. And then the consequence of derivation is the massdestruction of the historical buildings and the environment. For Xi’an,the modern andcontemporary buildings are not as well as the ancient building sites that getting muchattention until recent years protection outstanding modern architecture have proposed.But even there are some modern and contemporary buildings are stored down, itsenvironment was engulfed by the development of the city, leaving the modern andcontemporary buildings being surrounded by modern city.And they are forgotten by thepeople with the decline of the surrounding environment.In2005the15th ICOMOS inXi’an pass through the 《Xi’an Declaration》.It’s a international law about theenvironment of historical building.It provides the theoretical foundation for theprotection and planning design of historical building and its surroundingenvironment.Therefore, the protection of the environment around the historicalbuildings has attached more and more attentions.By this realistic background, this essaycomprehensively studies the basic theory and design practice.It initially establishes apattern of the protection of the environment and planning design of the modern historicbuildings.It will provide reference for future design.As one of the three pieces of historical block,Qixian village is located in the northeast of the old city area of Xi’an. The Represent Offiee of Eight Route Army inXi’an is the National Important Protection Monument.Qixian village also become oneof the protect projects of " One Hundred Traditional Folk Houses in Xi’an".At present,the facade along the road of Beixin and Xiqi around QiXian village has transformed.Butthe whole surrounding environment is not satisfact.It’s lack of corresponding historicalenvironment.At the same time, Qixian village and surrounding modern andcontemporary historic buildings are lack of contaction and the whole historicalenvironment.As one of the historical blocks,Qixian village still needs us to takeattention and do research of its environment protection and design.This essay have analyzed various kinds of programmatic documents and the othertechnical legislations.It laid a solid theoretical foundation of the research for the paper.Meanwhile,some successful cases of domestic and aboard have been selected andgenerally analyzed. Based on the investigation and research of the environment of themodern and contemporary buildings in Xi’an, this paper constructs a comprehensivesystem of protecting and planning design model system for the environment of themodern and contemporary historical buildings in Xi’an.And as an example of theenvironment around Qixian village, this paper puts forward the methods of protectingand design the environmen through the basis of the detailed investigation and analysis.Meanwhile,the method of protecting the whole environgment of Qixian village andsurrounding historic buildings have been sdudied.It can give inspiration to guideprotection and planning practice abou the environment of the modern and contemporaryhistorical buildings in Xi’an.
