Along with the seismic design and earthquake damage assessment method whichbased on damage are becoming popular, a precise damage model of reinforcedconcrete beam and column element is created based on the analysis of the damagemechanisms and process of reinforced concrete beam and column element in thisthesis. Through finite element simulation, the model has been built and the thesis canbe concluded as the followings four parts:A classification standard for the damage mode has been set by concluding thecharacteristics of damage. According to test phenomena, the damage mode of beamcan be characterized as bending type and shearing type and the column mode asshearing type, bending type and bending-shear type.Study on the damage criterion of RC beam and column elements has been built.Through the analysis of the influencing factors, the mechanism of damage andstatistic analysis of large amount of samples, the author selects the major parametersto establish functions to distinguish the damage modes. The author takes shear spanratio and axial compression ratio as variables for RC beam damage judging function,and shear span ratio and K value for column judging function.Precise damage model of bending-RC beam and column element has been built.The model and its standards Taking damage mechanism of bending beam and columnand the damage evaluation as the foundation,the damage performance as the damageevaluation criterion, the average compressed damage value of the head part ofelements as damage criterion.Precise damage model of non-bending-RC column element has been built. Inthis part, a comprehensive and precise finite element analysis has been taken as thestudy of shearing and bending-shear column damage mechanism. From physicaldamage perspective, the author builds a precise damage model of RC columnelements based on the precise performance criterion for member damage and damageevaluation criterion.In conclusion, the precise RC beam and column model takes material damageand constructional element damage mechanism as the base of theory. The modelcomprehensively reflects the seismic performance of beam and column and providesa foundation for seismic design and earthquake damage assessment.
