Building energy consumption of hospital in China is increasing year by year,especially power and hot water load which occupies a large proportion of energyconsumption of the hospital. The requirement for electricity safety and reliability isalso increasing yearly. Natural gas cogeneration technology can generate electricityand at the same time recycle the waste heat. It realizes the energy cascade utilization,increases the energy efficiencyand reduces the air pollution. Studying on hospitalcogeneration system plays an important role in improving the efficiency of thesystem.In this paper,much investigation and statistical data about hot water and powerconsume of hospital has been collected. Based on these data,the total hot water andpower load value and the peak value in one year,the monthly value,the hourlyvalue in one day are studied. By means of collecting and analyseing the datas fromarticles,this paper recommends the total and peak load value of electric and hotwater of hospital building as well as the proportion of monthly and hourly load.Using the Capstone C65ICHP as the prime movers of CHP system,the outputrules of the mechine set in full load and partial load has been studied. Also thematching relationship between the water output of the mechine and the hot waterdemand of hospital has been analysed. For the sake of balanceing the hot water loadin a day,a water tank has been used. By analyzeing the hot water demand of hospital,the mix water solution that could satisfy the hot water supplying requirement is putforward.Then,three operation schemes of the system are analysed and evaluated inthe aspect of energy saving,economy and environmental protection. For power load,the classification in the hospital and the supply capacity of the mechine set aredisscused.Heat storage water tank is studied. The capacity,structure and hourly heatdissipation of the water tank in the system are disscused,and the paper provide theideas and methods for water tank configuration.Finally,based on the research results presented in this paper,a cogenerationsystem servicing for a Shanghai hospital is configurated. The operation parametersof the mechine and the heat storage water tank of the system are analyzed. Through scheme comparison,the optimal operating strategy is determined.
