Shanghai applied physics institution have designed the2MW molten saltexperimental reactor. In this paper, the core of the experimental reactor,the heatexchanger,the radiator,the pipes and the control system are simulated withthe point kinetic model and the simple heat exchanger system. Based on the model,the power of radiator changes from2MW to1MW in5s,50s,200s and500s. Andthen a series of related response parameters are analyzed which include the reactivityof the control rod,the reactivity of temperature feedback,the total reactivity, thereactor inlet and outlet temperature of the core,secondary side outlet temperature ofheat exchanger,the outlet temperature of the radiator and the mass velocity in thesecondary loop. the reactor control system are designed and the system simulation of2MW molten salt experimental reactor the is firstly finished in the paper。The resultshowed that the power regulation strategy of following the load power on theexperimental reactor is useful and effective in the protective case.
