With the society developing constantly and costs of the labor improving constantly,enterprises pay more and more attentions to the efficiency and the cost. In the packagingindustry of our country, the most of equipment are very old. The low level ofautomation and the manual methods of production restrict the development of industriesand enterprises greatly. Specifically, the majority of companies stuff bag by manual, sobagging work is labor-intensive and inefficient.After a large number of experiments and analysis, duplex work is adopted based onthe requirement for the company. Omron PLC is chose as main controller and OmronHMI is chose as the display Interface. According to the number of action requires, thenumber of PLC、its extension、appropriate servo motor and stepper motor are chose.And the system software is compiled depends on process requirement. Not only candouble-stuffed bag machine improve the stability and reliability of the system, but alsoit can greatly reduce difficulty and cost of the design. The speed of machine can reach25bag/minutes, which improve the efficiency greatly. The machine attains our target,and there are a lot of potential to improve efficiency. Its primary contents are asfollows:1. According to the production process and the partner’s requirements, the designof the overall scheme of the whole system is completed and the overall design ofmechanical agencies is confirmed.2. According to the mechanical structure, the control mode is put forward basedon PLC and HMI. The production process of the compound bag is controlled by PLC.The production process of compound bags is monitored by HMI.3. The pneumatic system of double-stuffed bag machine is designed based on therequirement, and the types of the important pneumatic components are confirmed by thedetailed calculation.4. The hardware structure of the control system is designed including theextension、sensors、servo motors、step motors、control cabinet and so on. The designof servo motors is the most important in the machine.5. The program of PLC and HMI are designed based on the requirements. Thecharacteristics of the programming software of HMI are introduced. The program ofHMI include the landing interface、a main interface、a parameter interface、a single stepcontrol interface、a alarm interface. The characteristics of the programming software ofPLC are introduced.6. According to the certain steps to debug the equipment, and then completingsummary about the design.
