With the increasingly intense market competition, the rapid design of marine dieselengines CAD/CAE integration for improving product quality, cutting down the design andthe cost of manufacture. In this dissertation, on the background of the project “Research onMultidisciplinary Integration Design Optimization theory and method for Ship SystemBased on the technology of XXX”, analyzing the technology of CAD/CAE in domestic andabroad, summarizing the design characteristics of key parts of marine diesel engine,constructing the general structure of the marine diesel engine rapid design system, andstudying many technologies and theories of the marine diesel engine rapid design system, anintegrated software platform for rapid design of marine diesel engine was developed withVisual Basic based on the software engineering. The system can be helpful to designengineer to design and analyze mechanical products rapidly and canonically. The maincontents and results of the dissertation are as follows:(1) Starting from the design characteristics of key parts of marine diesel engine,analyzing the functional requirements of the rapid design system of marine diesel enginekey parts, and extracting rapid design process of key parts of marine diesel engine, thearchitecture of rapid design system for marine diesel engine was constructed. And the threetechnologies which are product information division and modeling base on information unittheory, product design and analysis integration for information unit model and productdesign process reuse base on information unit model were put forward. This lays thetheoretical researching foundation for marine diesel engine rapid design system.(2) For the complexity of the model and data information of marine diesel enginesCAD/CAE integrated design, product digitization information modeling method based oninformation unit theory was put forward to achieve the effective organization and reuse ofthe information and model. Combined with diesel engine crank connecting rod mechanismexample, product information modeling method based on information unit theoryconnotation and methods were elaborately detailed.(3) Aiming at the analytical geometric model data consistency issues and collaborativeproblem of multi-disciplinary analysis of marine diesel engine key parts, PMMT forinformation unit model was put forward to solve the data communications between CADand CAE, and combined with marine diesel engine piston example the PMMT was elaborately detailed; Planning of multidisciplinary analysis task by building analysis matrix,the problem of collaborative analysis of the product multiple disciplines was solved. At last,taking integrated design and analysis of diesel engine crank connecting rod mechanism forexample, the method is verified feasibility.(4) The product design and analysis process reuse technology based on the informationunit model was put forward for the rapid design and analysis problem of the key parts ofdiesel engine. In this paper, the basic connotation of reusable mode was elaborated. And atlast, taken the structural static analysis of the crank of marine diesel engine for example, itrealizes the rapid modeling and analysis of the key parts of diesel engine.(5) Based on the above theoretical study, rapid design system platform of key parts ofmarine diesel engine was developed. Take a marine diesel engine connecting rod design forexample and in the environment of the developed rapid design system software, we realizethe connecting rod model building, information inputting, customizing the analysis strategy,treating the analysis data of rapid reusable design and analysis process, and verify thefeasibility of the theories and methods in this thesis.
